♥ MsPIGgii's New Love ... My Little PIPI ♥

On a recent online shopping spree, I picked up this adorably cute 'Pipi's Kitchen' print by Kokka, currently on sale at Voodoo Rabbit. It's TOTALLY MsPIGgii! Featuring a cute little pig called PIPI, along with all it's favorite dishes - donuts.. yum, hamburgers.. yum, croissants, muffins, pretzels.. yum yum yum!! How can you not love it?!?!

In addition to Pipi, I also bought a very interesting looking cat print. I have to admit, I'm not a fan of felines but this cute kitty pattern really grows on you. The red and black print on thick white canvas featuring cats, hearts and flowers, gives this fabric a bold, fun and funky effect. You just can't help but love it!

I spent the day making all sorts of goodies using my new cat print. I couldn't resist so stuck a bow to everything because I think it just adds an extra bit of cuteness - and that's exactly what MsPIGgii is all about =)

All these new items are now listed in both my Etsy and Madeit stores.

A very productive Australia Day for me, hope you had a fun and exciting day too!

Anyways bed bed now, back to work tomorrow:-|... Nighty Night All!

BUSY, BUSY, BUSY.... I'm Loving It!

Boy Oh Boy, what an exciting week it has been! After many many long nights of cutting and sewing, I have finally finished my very first wholesale... woot woot!! I'd never been able to complete this if it weren't for all the help and support from ChickenLittle and Bah Bah Sis... Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! soooo much guys!

Also, massive thanks to Robin for having enough faith in me to feature my collection of purses and pouches in your new store. Wishing you and HandMad Emporium the very best of luck this year and the many years to come!

In addition to this, I've finally tamed and befriended the atrocious and annoying PVC. I have seriously underestimated it's stubbornness. It drove me and my poor little sewing machine completely bonkers.  After many hours of ripping, pulling, screaming and throwing away massive chunks of the thing,  I've finally discovered the secret to working with PVC: feed it a bit of tissue paper. Once fed it will settle down and do as I say. My little machine was very happy about that =) My new collection of PVC Cosmetics / Makeup Bags are now complete and available in both my etsy and madeit stores.

I've still got another variation of this design that I'm dying to explore but just haven't had the time to get started. Hopefully I'll have some time to work on it this weekend so I can share it with everyone soon ^_^

Time for sleep sleep now. Wishing all the sweetest dreams and a fantastic weekend!

AUSTRALIAN FLOOD APPEAL - Let's all lend a helping hand...

Most of you would have heard or seen on the news of the devastating flash floods that has caused horrific damage and loss to numerous parts of Australia, where the death toll is now 18, with grave concerns still held for 14 people missing in the valley, west of Brisbane.

What can we do? Make donations, big or small to various appeals such as The Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal, The Salvation ArmyAustralian Red Cross and many other organisations. (Please be careful, SCAMwatch is warning consumers to thoroughly check the legitimacy of charities when donating to help flood victims in central and south east Queensland)

In addition to this you can donate food, clothing and other necessities to assist effected communities. Start your own collection or ask around your community and social groups to find out who is currently organising one and contribute.

Another way of helping out is to support, donate or purchase items from fund-raising groups for the Australian Flood Appeal, but be sure to analyse whether these groups are legit.

A group of kind Etsy members are currently volunteering their personal time to put together a shop consisting of a collection of items donated by sellers. Please check out their store. 100% of the proceeds from this store (less Etsy and Paypal fees) will go go directly to The Queensland Premier's Disaster Relief Appeal.

I've just purchased this gorgeous owl plush pattern. Not only is it adoringly cute, it is also for a good cause. Doesn't it just melt your heart? Awww..

My prayers are with those affected my this disaster. May it all be over soon...

2011 - Start the year with a big SMILE! ☺

Have only made one sale since the new year so been feeling quite down and unmotivated. Thankfully I remembered this clever... let's call it "innovative" design that I stumbled across some time ago. Hope it will bring a smile to your face and brighten up your day as it did for me ^_^

Make Your Own Slippers (It’s Easy and Fun)

Great Homemade Gift Idea (Instructions and Pictures included below)

Here’s how you can make your very own pad slippers.

Step 1. Get some pads. This may be a little harder for the guys, but just ask the girlfriend for some. Shouldn’t be a problem.

Step 2. Open the packaging and take one out.

Step 3. Fold the ends on both sides.

Step 4. Now slide the folded pad onto another unfolded pad. Use the built in adhesive to make sure they stay together. This part might be a little tricky if you’ve never used a pad before.

Step 5. Add additional padding to the bottom to make it nice, soft, and extra absorbent in case you are walking through a swamp.

Step 6. Put glue on top of the previously folded pad.

Step 7. Add beautiful decorations and TA DA!

Step 8. Wear your new pad slippers with style, comfort, and pride. heheh..
