The Three Little MINz - Coin Purse Frenzy!!

Goldilocks discovered The Three Bears. Mr. Wolf found himself The Three Little Pigs. MsPIGgii? She found herself The Three Little MINz!! lol. It's been months now since I first got hooked onto making these little coin purses but the obsession is still going strong if not more. I LUURVE these little cuties so much that I've created a whole collection of all different sizes. The little ones are the toughest to make but they're my favourite. They're just irresistibly cute! Introducing tiny MIN-Z, the not too big, not too tiny, but just the right size MIN-R and the very big fat MIN-X.

These little MINz are great for just about anything. From notes and coins to jewelery, sewing accessories or any bits and pieces lying around in your handbag. Can't decide which MINz is best for you?? Simply collect them all!! ^_^

But this is my passion...

Have you ever been fanatically blissful or proud of something you've achieved only to have someone knock it back? A lot of people especially Mama Hen doesn’t understand why I put a lot of time, effort and investment into MsPIGgii for no return. But seriously, how many businesses out there actually succeed and take off from day one? Everything takes time. Plus this isn’t even a business, I don’t know where MsPIGgii will lead me in the future but right now it is an outlet for me to share my passion and love of cute little things with others. People pay big money for their hobbies like model making, antique collecting, golf, horse riding, and games etc whilst I’m funding my own and having so much fun doing it. I just wish others can understand that this is my fervour, and despite putting in a lot of hours and cutting back on sleep I enjoy every second of it and am proud of everything I create. I know Mama Hen only cares and I love her for it but sometimes a little support doesn’t kill…

Anyways, sorry for ranting...

On a brighter and much more fun note... despite the lack of support ,this has been a really good week for MsPIGgii. I finally rose over the one/two sales per week norm and received 7 orders including my very first custom order for a Snoopy padded camera / phone pouch. Woohoo!! I hope they will be happy with it =)

Also, after waiting for what seems like a decade… (in actual fact it was just over a week heheh) the metal purse frames finally arrived.

Bah Bah Sis and I got into purse making a few weeks back. They were so popular and fun to make that we couldn't wait to make more. This is what we’ve made during the week and are all available in my store.

Anyways.. am off to bed now. Need to be up and about in a couple of hours for work. It's Friday woohoo!! Happy Friday all.. thought of something very interesting and innovative this week, can't wait to make it this weekend =D

Sweet dreams...

Garden Party Wristlet - Designed by Keyka Lou

This Garden Party Wristlet pattern I've discovered by Keyka Lou is absolutely gorgeous!! It was definitely love at first sight. I'm the lazy type who hates carrying around handbags and other accessories so always end up making my SO (aka Chicken Little) carry my phone and wallet in his pockets, making them bulky and weighing them down. Poor guy, he's such an angel for never complaining heheh..

Garden Party Wristlet in Peaceful Planet Flowers

This wristlet was the perfect solution. It's cute, compact and just the right size to hold my phone, wallet and lip gloss. Best of all, it's completely hands-free woohoo!! It is held closed by slipping the wristlet strap through a smaller closure loop so it is totally secure. My sister reckons the bow makes it childish, but I think that's the best feature. I've been dying to experiment with this pattern all week. I ended up making my wristlet reversible and the bow detachable so I can use the wristlet bow-less when I'm at work and with the bow when I'm out and about. The instructions by Keyla Lou were very detailed and easy to follow. After my first attempt, and a few oohs... and aahhs... I was completely sold. Before I knew it.....

TA... DA...

If you love the wristlet as much as I do, you can purchase them at my store or make your own by purchasing the pattern from Keyka Lou.

So that was my weekend, how was yours?

Lisa

Introducing ... ♥ SHARED DREAMS by MsPIGgii ♥

Hi All,

Firstly I'd like to thank you for stopping by and reading my blog.

Those who know me will have heard me blabbering on and dreaming about a >>KAWAII Wonderland<<, a place for >>ALL THINGS KAWAII<<. This space will allow me to share bits and pieces of my dream come true with others sharing similar interests and a passion for >>ALL THINGS KAWAII<<.  ^_^

My name is Lisa, and I’m a craft-a-holic!! heheh…There really isn’t a limit, from DIY sewing, knitting, paper craft projects, creating odd recipes to self-installation goodies from IKEA (love love IKEA!!) I just really enjoy making stuff and the sense of achievement you feel seeing something through from beginning to end. My most rewarding project to date is probably re-tiling a whole crumbling bathroom wall years ago. Everyone thought I was nuts for not calling a professional but I proved them wrong. I saved the family money and had so much fun in the process. It was like a combination of icing a cake and paper mache heheheh…

I recently got back into sewing after a close couple we knew had their first child. I wanted to get the little bubz something special but was dead broke. I did a lot of research on DIY baby gifts and came across a gorgeous free teddy bear pattern by Pauline @funkyfriendsfactory. All you need to do is subscribe and download her free pattern. Try it out! Guarantee you will love it.

DIY Newborn Baby Gift

I added a little bell to the stuffing to make it rattle. It was absolutely gorgeous and was the perfect size for a newborn. It is very simple and affordable to make. Family and friends were so impressed they all wanted little cuddly rattling bears for that special little precious one in their lives. The next thing I knew I had about 12 requests within 2 weeks. I also made another version with a message bottle hidden in the teddy's tummy. Perfect way to deliver a secret message to that special someone. I called it the Love Messenger Bear. The feedback I received was fantastic.

Love Messenger Bear

I was inspired!! The can of worms was opened :P Every pay day I was either at Lincraft or other fabric stores looking for kawaii prints and accessories. My bedroom is now filled with all sorts of goodies and my head is overloaded with kawaii ideas and projects. Stay tuned for updates and check out my store on Madeit or Etsy for completed projects okies. Feel free to comment. I’d love to hear your ideas, advice, thoughts and feedback.

Until next time…

Lisa
